Formal Makeup
Doing
your own formal makeup is tricky if you are not familiar with the right way to apply
it properly. Formal makeup gives you two choices; either you can do it yourself
or make appointment with some professional makeup artist. When getting ready
for some formal party or event, formal makeup plays a major role in appearance. After
selecting your dress, the turn comes for makeup. Nowadays, due to media access
and lots of videos online, you can easily get help online and get it done with
the help of products and tools available to you without spending extra money. For
example, if you don’t have contour palette, then you can also use your eye
shadow palette colors for contouring. In the same way, there are many
tricks and ways that help you do your makeup yourself from the convenience
of home.
There
are so many aspects to take into attention; such as, the dress color, weather,
theme of the party, skin type, products to use, etc. On the other hand, you can
practice to apply makeup if you do it yourself as the ability to play with
different colors, tools and products can also boost the hidden abilities in
you. As it is a known fact that practice makes one perfect, so I believe that
one should try doing it. However, if you are really not into this thing, then
it is better to take professional appointment than to ruin the entire look.
The
most important step to remember is not to pressurize yourself for the looks. If
you get yourself stressed out or panic, then makeup will also end up getting
messed up. If you are going on some formal event and doing formal makeup, then
it means that you need to take photographs, too. So, use a photography friendly
foundation and add more contouring on face to make face look slimmer and
defined. Additionally, formal makeup always needs a quality setting powder and
setting spray to make the makeup last for 24 hours. If you go for low quality
powders or spray, then don’t expect lasting results. In many cases,
professionals don’t use setting sprays, so always ask them to use it at the end.
There
are many people who have wrong idea of formal makeup and they think it is about
heavy makeup application that is a total false concept. Formal makeup means to
look elegant, sophisticated, neat and good looking in accordance with the dress
and the theme of the event. For example, if you are doing heavy makeup on eyes,
then it is better to do it light on lips or cheeks. If the lip color is dark,
then it is preferable to use light color eye shadows on eyes and don’t mess it
up. It is better not to go crazy while applying makeup and do it smoothly and
calmly. Using precise brushes and taking low quantity and blending slowly always
comes up with best results.
Furthermore,
in many cases, if the makeup is not set properly, then it won’t for long, so
always take one blush, lip color, highlighter and face powder to keep setting
it. You can use these accessories for touching up to be able to keep the fresh
and radiant look.
